Elasticity in Life
In this Chaotic life where nothing goes as planned and more than often, we start finding the balance and meaning of life in between stress and happiness. I am reminded of a concept I learned in physics in class 11th which is Elasticity. Yes! I usually thought that if a body could stretch more it is more elastic which seems to be logical like a rubber band or something similar but later I learned that it is not the ability to stretch but how much a body can carry weight and when the weight is removed how much it can regain it’s shape back in the original position. This flipped my whole view of looking at things because according to it Steel was more elastic than an Elastic band. I wasn’t able to accept this but later, I discussed this concept with my parents and they weren't shocked at all. They told a very important thing that had a deep impression on me which was that it is very similar to life in general- “ It doesn’t matter how far can you push if you break or can’t get back to who you were earlier at a mental state but what matters is that how much pressure can you handle and return to your original mental state before you had that thing started”. After which I just came to accept that concept. It’s weird sometimes how something different can teach you something entirely different you just have to keep your mind open at all times.
